PAX for Peace is a Netherlands-based peace organization that works to protect civilians in war zones and support the reconstruction of societies ravaged by conflict, including in Lebanon and Gaza. Founded in 2000, PAX partners with local communities, governments, and international bodies to promote human rights, disarmament, and peace-building initiatives. In Lebanon and Gaza, PAX focuses on alleviating the suffering of war victims, facilitating dialogue between conflicting groups, and supporting local peace initiatives. They aim to reduce violence and address the root causes of conflict through advocacy, community programs, and international cooperation. PAX also works on disarmament efforts, addressing the dangers of unexploded ordnance and landmines in war-affected areas.
