Hey, I am Phil

26 years old, and for over 5 years, I've been creating minimal art, gradually shifting towards intimate and minimalistic expressions. I've been self-employed in Switzerland for the past 2 years. Being an artist is a privilege, and every single order puts a smile on my face.

My Story

Since my teenage years, I felt different and faced bullying. I was unsure of what was wrong and struggled to focus in school. Opting for a commerce apprenticeship seemed like a solid foundation at the time, as I was unsure of my aspirations. Despite completing the apprenticeship, I couldn't secure a job, facing over 50 rejections that drained my motivation.

Facing unemployment, I found solace in creating minimal art. Despite the trauma and uncertainty, I discovered my passion and worked hard to reach where I am now. Struggling with undiagnosed issues, I sought professional help in June 2022, receiving a diagnosis of depression. Every day was a battle, but I persevered in pursuing my passion and dream.

1.5 years later, I received a late diagnosis of ADHD, a lifelong obstacle. Despite the challenges, I now know what's been wrong and am confident in taking the necessary steps to reach my envisioned point. I'm proud of my journey.

Vision

In the near future, I'm determined to plan and execute my first solo exhibition. It will focus on life with my undiagnosed ADHD, offering insights through artworks to provide a glimpse behind the scenes of ADHD. I was never just the restless Philipp; I was the dreamer. I aim to showcase this aspect of ADHD to the world.

Looking further ahead, I aspire to open an art café – a space with an integrated studio for every artist. The studio's funding will primarily come from the café, allowing young and emerging artists to access resources and express their creativity while connecting with like-minded individuals.

In the café, you can expect the finest coffee ;) but it will also serve as a small gallery where guests can purchase art from young and upcoming artists. I envision it as a hub where art and coffee enthusiasts come together, fostering a vibrant community and supporting the talents of emerging artists.

Let's see where this journey takes me.
